How does the game work?
Employees draft teams of fellow employees and those employees score points based off their production and your scoring elements you determine. Like in fantasy sports, your fantasy managers will have multiple spots in their line up to play and will need to keep an eye on all players for game management.
How does an employee sign up and play?
After your company purchases a season, the sign up and play is easy. Employees will receive an employee sign up card with your unique company code which allows them to register. They will draft a team and play during the windows your commissioner creates.
Does my company have to use all of the tools in Fantasy-Pro™?
No, many of the tools are optional and can be implemented over time. Tools such as Quick Notes, Infractions, and Certifications are not required for the game.
Do all employees have to play to get the benefits of Fantasy-Pro™?
No, the benefit comes from the awareness and communication tools, employees do not have to draft teams.
Can I link multiple sites if my company has different locations?
No, if you are company who has multiple sites, each site will need its own subscription service. This allows for each site's employees to have their own leagues.
Can I use the Fantasy-Pro™ system as an incentive plan?
Yes, absolutely. You could easily use the metrics and scoring from your Fantasy-Pro™ league/game for an incentive plan.
What is the employee recognition ability of Fantasy-Pro™?
Fantasy-Pro™ has several tools for recognition. MVP list shows the top employees for each job category and shift you create. Rookie Meter ranks all your employees in probation. There are multiple, easy-to-use communication tools that could be used to announce milestones like anniversaries, safety records, birthdays, announcement of employees children births, etc...
What is the reason for impact facts?
Impact facts are an easy way to communicate pointed information using a theme for educational purposes with your employees or could display random/trivial facts for fun.
How do new hires benefit from the Rookie Meter?
Rookie Meter allows for a new employee in probation to see how they are doing compared to other new hires.
Can the certification tool replace existing HR records?
Yes, documents can be stored electronically and managed through the Fantasy-Pro™ interface. You can specify when recertification is due and run reports to see who is due. This is an optional tool and is not required to use Fantasy-Pro™.
Are the infractions standard or limited for site setup?
No, infractions are entirely site specific and customizable. You create the infractions you use and can apply a point value for the Fantasy-Pro™ game if you desire. When you set up an infraction, you can also specify if the infraction should be considered for the Predictive Safety Tool.
Why would I need a group email functionality?
Another easy way to quickly and effectively communicate with employees. Could be used by HR, a Safety Manager, or any other operational communication needs.
What do most companies use the rolling ticker for?
The rolling ticker is commonly used for daily stats like volume, tool box recaps, or special announcements.
Can the HR news be used for different communication or should it pertain to the game?
HR news is a great way to share other information like milestones or special events commonly communicated by your HR department. Benefit information, baby announcements, birthdays, and service milestones are popular.
What is the custom polling used for?
Custom polls are a great way to get pointed feedback. Think of it as a suggestion box but you guide the topic and suggestions. This tool can be used for determining prizes, meals for luncheons, popular sports teams, training feedback, or simply something silly to keep things fun and fresh.
How do I get the most out of the predictive safety tool?
Load your OSHA recordable information from the previous 2-3 years then your staff can use the system to place focus, training, and audits where needed most.
Can my Supervisors play and manage a game?
Yes, and they will. The first two game played should be by management and supervisors only. Employee engagement starts with management.
How much will the Fantasy-Pro™ system cost my company to use?
$10 per employee for start up, and $5 per employee a month. For example, if you have 150 employees, a 6 month subscription will cost your site $1,500 start up and $4,500. A 12 month subscription total cost would be $1,500 for start up and $9,000. In some cases, a 6 month subscription costs less than the expenses associated with a new hire.
Can teams upload a team image?
Yes, and before it can be viewed, your commissioner has to approve the image.
What happens if one of the employees you draft is on vacation or calls off sick?
Fantasy-Pro™ uses your vacation schedule to create players on bye weeks so employee fantasy managers can adjust their rosters. However, if an employee calls off sick that was unforeseen, just like in fantasy sports, if a player in your line up misses the game or is benched, you miss those points. This is part of the beauty of Fantasy-Pro™!
Will we need to hire someone to manage the Fantasy-Pro™ system like an IT employee or system user?
No, the estimated commissioner time for daily maintenance is 10-15 minutes; initial set up is 2 hours. We suggest giving a couple managers commissioner authority and have them sign in daily to keep communication fresh. HR or Ops manager could keep things fresh spending less than 5 minutes each time.
How long are the seasons?
Your commissioner will set the lengths. Popular choices are to run a 16 week season. With that format on a 6 month subscription, you would have two games at four weeks a piece for your management and supervisors, and then one 16 week season with all employees.
How does the draft take place?
When the commissioner creates a game, players can log in and click Join League. Once they create a team, they can begin adding players to their team. They will simply click the "+" sign to add players. The commissioner should allow at least a week before the start of the game so teams can draft.
What is Quick Notes used for?
Quick notes can be used to track positive, negative, or neutral events that occur with an employee. This information can be used for reviews or counseling sessions. It is a great tool for Supervisor engagement as well. You could require them to Quick Note a positive event each week for an employee.
What if I have different job types at my facility?
No problem, Fantasy-Pro™ was built with this in mind. Just like in fantasy sports, you will need different positions to round out your team.
What if I want to change the scoring rules after a few games?
No problem. The system is easy to change your scoring parameters, and that is another way to keep things fresh. As your culture grows what was a challenge before may be easy and new KPI's or challenges arise.
How does an employee register after we have purchased a season of Fantasy-Pro™?
You will receive employee handout cards for all of your employees. Instructions are simple and registration only requires a few minutes to do.
How many MVP's are there?
It depends on how many departments, shifts and job types you have. For example, if you have 3 departments working 2 shifts each with 5 different job types, you would have 30 MVP's. Top employee of every job type by department by shift.
Can I keep the team managing to supervision only and still have effectiveness?
Yes, you could and would still drive employee engagement. Picture a fantasy manager with the ability to coach and care about their fantasy players being hands on. Supervisors can make or break employee culture, Fantasy-Pro™ creates engagement and grows your culture. You could also evaluate and grade management using the Fantasy-Pro™ system.
Should my HR and Safety Manager play a role?
Definitely, although they are not required to be a part of your Fantasy-Pro™ system. Fantasy-Pro™ provides simple to use yet effective means of communication for driving engagement and improving culture.

How do fantasy sports tie in with labor production facilities?
Most labor work force employees at one time played some form of sports and some of your employees still do play sports. Fantasy-Pro™ is their opportunity to be the stars, performing their required work for your company. Fantasy-Pro™ takes the fun and excitement of fantasy sports and combines it with your workforce. Fantasy sports are growing at an insane rate, in 2013 over 33.5 million Americans played fantasy sports and they spent over $ 1.5 billion in fees.
What if my company has multiple sites/locations?
No problem, each site will have to have their own subscription so their employees will only compete against those at their facility. This will keep the metrics clean and the engagement fun.
Do my employees need to have previous fantasy sports experience?
No. Sign up, drafting and playing is simple. Employees learning new things and tuning in for awareness is part of the power behind the Fantasy-Pro™ system.
What is the reason for having employee tiers?
Tiers are created by the commissioner when a game is created and is strictly based on the employee point totals for the previous 6 weeks. Just like in football where there are different positions (QB, WR, RB, etc…), tiers allow Fantasy-Pro™ to have different "positions". They force the players to be engaged by having to draft players from each tier.
